Thousands attended the funeral procession of slain militant Azharuddin Khan alais Ghazi Umar of Tiras village of Kupwara town held at Jinazgah of Tiras village on Sunday despite heavy snow.
While the funeral procession of slain Sajad was held on late hours of Saturday at his native village.
Azharuddin Khan who got killed along with his associate Sajad Ahmed Lone alais Babar from Bomai Village in an encounter with security forces at Amargrah village of Sopore town on Saturday.
As soon as news spread in the area people in thousands assembled in the area where the protest rally marched towards Handwara Police station, Azadi and Pro-Islam slogans shouted during the rally on late Saturday.
Meanwhile despite harsh winter conditions and snowfall more than three thousand people participated in the slain militant’s funeral procession on Sunday morning.
